Many parents donāt realize that the kind of food they give their children every day can determine how long and how well those children will live. Itās not about money. You may have enough to buy anything you want, but if you donāt know what is healthy, that money can become useless when sickness comes.
These days, our children eat more of processed foods like instant noodles, cereals, beverages like Milo and Bournvita, biscuits, canned foods, sweets, and fizzy drinks. These companies don't care about you, it's about the money. This affects mostly parents who are lazy to cook and see eating out as a luxury lifestyle. Their kids get used to it and live that way and their own kids too continue that way.
These foods look fancy, taste sweet, and are easy to prepare, but deep down, they are slowly harming the body. They are loaded with sugar, salt, coloring, preservatives and chemicals that weaken the immune system and damage organs over time.
It breaks the heart to see small children suffering from sicknesses that used to be for old people e.g diabetes(I have met a 17 year s old teenager battling chronic diabetesš²), high blood pressure, liver and kidney problems. I could run on.
Go to the hospitals today, and you will be shocked to see so many young people fighting for their lives. What we feed them matters more than we think.
Now my people the Sad Truth About Food Manufacturers in Nigeria.
The saddest part? Those who manufacture these foods donāt even eat them. In many factories, the owners and workers prepare their own special meals in a clean, natural way while what they ones they sell to the market is full of preservatives, chemical , flavors and artificial ingredients. I once spoke to a factory worker at ibadan who told me that they don't even care about hygiene, all they want is to make money money and more money.
They know the danger, but they care more about profit than peopleās lives. Sadly, many of us are unknowingly feeding our families the same food thatās slowly killing us. When this problem comes we start asking questions about why this calamity wrecked havoc.
My people, itās time to wake up. Stop feeding your children with poison just because it is sweet or easy to cook. Go back to real food fruits, vegetables, beans, yam, fish, eggs, and fresh soups made at home.
Teach your children to drink water instead of soft drinks. Or better still make natural fruit extracts for them. Let them understand that eating healthy is not punishment; it is love and protection.
Our health is our true wealth. The food you give your family today will either build their future or destroy it. Choose wisely. Let us raise a generation that is strong, healthy, and full of life not one that is dying young because of bad food.
If this message touched you, donāt keep it to yourself. Share it with another parent today.
One simple change in diet can save a childās life tomorrow.
Letās spread awareness and build a healthier futureĀ together.
